As the days have gone by, nothing has been on my heart more than the families of those sweet children. Nothing, in this lifetime, can take away their pain. No one can make this better for them. But may they always know that their sweet ones have made a huge impact on this country. In our tears we have stood together for the first time, in a long time.
As dishes and laundry pile up around me and the refrigerator and pantry grow empty…life has been put into such utter perspective. I pray that these families find little glimpses of comfort as they see what a difference their little one has made in my life and in the lives of families everywhere. At the end of each day, at each glimpse of the little shoes that sit at my door, I am reminded of what is truly important in this lifetime.
Our hope lies not in the broken promises of this world, but in the confidence that one day their will be no more sorrow, no more tears, and no more pain.
